ROAD MAP: TERRESTRIAL LASER SCANNING MEASUREMENT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

LASER SCANNING MEASUREMENT STRATEGY

This book is one of the milestones of my professional life. My book authored by me for some time now has been published as one of the first books authored in our country about 3D measurement technologies and terrestrial laser scanning. This book is based not only on my academic studies, but also on my professional experiences, and is shaped through my point of view to the profession, and has a practice-oriented language and expression. I wish my book will make contributions to our professional circles.

The book starts with a fairly rich summary of literature and narrates all technical knowledge required to be owned by a 3D Laser Scanning professional, and with “Laser Scanning Measurement Strategy Development” part integrated with literature knowledge, it turns into a source book giving information on almost all of the issues related to professional practice.

LASER SCANNING MEASUREMENT STRATEGY

“Measurement Strategy Development” part, constituting the foundation of the book, elaborates what must be thought and considered before the project and what must be paid attention during the project. The work flow diagram given in this part is a method I have contributed to the literature and represents a part of the content on which I place special emphasis. This diagram can easily be used for any kinds of objects or fields that may be encountered by 3D Laser Scanning professionals in their professional lives, and at the same time refers to and stands for a methodology. In addition, the pilot project description included in this part explains in details how this diagram is used in real life and how theoretical knowledge is converted and put into practice. The general structure supported by project management processes in addition to technical description of project leads to creation of a book which may draw interest of all of my colleagues.
